Let’s Go 6th Grade

I’m back!! New grade new me! I’m in 6th grade now and so far I like it, the teachers are nice, I finally get to sit in the back of the bus and we’re the role models of the whole school.

In Language Arts we just finished up our dream boards. You probably know what it is but for those who don’t know, it is a thing that you put all your dreams for the future on like if you want to go to Paris then you put that on there. I put nine things on my dream board, the first thing that I put on it was that I wanted to paint/draw a big picture and hang it up. Then I put that I wanted to donate a good chunk of money to animal shelters and I also put that I wanted to visit every state of the U.S. at least once. Another thing that I put on it was that I wanted to be someone’s VERY VERY best friend, and that I wanted to be an artist and a teacher. Lastly I put that I wanted to be a really good volleyball player and that I wanted to visit somewhere in Europe.

Another thing that we did in Language Arts was something called Mindset Stances. The Mindset Stances are empathy, flexibility, persistence, resilience, and optimism. When I think about Mindset Stances I think the most important ones are empathy and flexibility. Flexibility is important because if you aren’t flexible then it’s harder for you to adapt to different things. For example, if you plan something but it goes off track and you aren’t that flexible then it can go off track even more. Empathy is also an important one because if someone if really sad or upset then you can help them because you can put yourself in their shoes.

I am a pretty honest person, sometimes funny, and if you are my friend, I can help you with almost all your problems because I have been through a lot. I try to do my best and I compliment people whenever they need it, and sometimes when they don’t. I like when my friends can be themselves around me, are honest, and are nice. I’m trying to improve my friendships with people and I’m also trying to improve the amount of talking that I do during class.

Well that’s what I’ve done so far in Language Arts and what has changed over the summer. Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My School Day

Hmmm. Let me tell you about my school day. I’d say it wonderful, others might say is ok, and everyone else says its terrible. I come to school and unpack in my homeroom class (Mrs. Harrod’s class), and then I wait for the pledge. After the pledge Mrs. Harrod’s class would switch with Mr. Farmer’s class and go to math and science. Mrs. Harrod is a language arts teacher and Mr. Farmer is the math and science teacher. We would first have science, and right now in science we are working on the solar system. After science we would go to specials and every day we have a different special. Monday I have media, Tuesday I have Chorus (you have the choice to be in chores or not). Wednesday I have band (you also have the choice to be in band or not), Thursday I have art, and Friday I have gym. Then once specials were over I wouldn’t go to Mr. Farmer for math . Even though he is a math teacher, I would go to Mrs. Amy for math because I am considered smarter than the average 5th grader. After that hour of math time I would finally go to lunch and recess. Later, I would switch back to language arts and then the rest of the day would be language arts. That is my regular school day. Thank for reading have a good rest of your day. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥:)

Oh P.S I have a stinken 40 minute bus ride after school, but I live closer than that to my school.

Funny Poem

Right angle
I got this picture from a CC search
Books,
They’re made of words.
Words,
They make things up.
A thing,
It can be an object.
An object,
Can be a cloth.
A cloth wipes things away.
A thing,
That can be,
Wiped away is,
A dream.
Therefor clothes can wipe away your dreams so………..
STAY AWAY FROM CLOTHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton’s story all started on January 11, 1757 in Charlestown, Saint Kitts, and Nevis. Alexander’s only sibling was James Hamilton Jr., who was older than Alexander. His dad, James Hamilton, decided to abandon the family shortly after Alexander was born. Then, when Alexander Hamilton was about 13 years old his mom sadly passed away due to yellow fever. Sadly that meant that Alexander and his brother where, from that point forward, where orphans. That is all I’m going to tell you about the fascinating life of Alexander Hamilton but you can always find out more by clicking the link right here ———> Alexander Hamilton. Maybe you can make your own Alexander Hamilton blog post, if you do leave a comment and add the link in the comment.

Mrs. Harrod

Mrs. Harrod is, no doubt about it, the best teacher ever. If you think you have the best teacher ever then you haven’t met Mrs. Harrod yet. She is a 5th grade teacher that is so beautiful you’d wish you could stay with her forever. Everyone, except for a few people in her class don’t even want to have the weekend because they love her so much. She is so beautiful, sweet, brave, adaptable, adventurous, and MUCH more. If you get a chance to meet her then you are one of the luckiest people ever.
